I ordered some tailor made leather items and they were all shipped within three weeks. Quality of the leather is very good. The tailoring is superb and everything fits as per the measurements I submitted. Customer service was very prompt answering all the queries I had. My only problem was that I had to pay customs charges (duty and VAT) when my package arrived in Ireland, but that is not Make Your Own Jean's fault. I searched everyplace for a simple Brown Corduroy Suit and was surprised to find none of any quality are available at ANY price. Eventually my "word search" led me to Make Your Own Jeans. i searched far and wide for a velvet jacket with a paisley type pattern on it, similar to the one which elvis presley used on his wedding day. The nearest that i could find was this company. Although not exactly the same, it was in principle therefore satisfied me in that regard. I was then further satisfied when i received the product much earlier than anticipated despite Xmas approaching. Further satisfaction was again obtained when i tried on the jacket and felt the quality of the product. When i wore it for the first time just about everyone i came into contact with remarked on the quality of the jacket and if that does not give you a feel good factor then only the presence of Elvis himself would have improved matters. I am now about to enquire if it is possible to have trousers made with the same material so that i now have a suit that can only be described as very unusual and very interesting to wear. Worth the wait. These jeans are amazing! They fit absolutely perfectly, I've never owned a pair of jeans that fitted this well (being 6ft and slim with long legs), especially since I'm living in Korea ATM and nothing will fit me. Aside from the perfect fit, the workmanship and quality is better than a $250 pair of 7's or any other jeans I've worn; To go with the awesome look of the jeans, they feel so good. I ordered a test pair of jeans and a black dress shirt with a white collar. It took a while for them to get finish production (about a month) but once it shipped they got here within a week. [5 of 5 Stars!] The shirt was great, however, the sleeves were too long but - upon further review - I believe the mistake was on my end. It's a small problem that I can easily have a local tailor fix (rather than go through shipping it back). The quality of the fabric was great and the construction was clean and solid. I was more than satisfied with the shirt for the price. The jeans were perfect...seriously amazing...I'm short so I've never been able to find a pair of jeans that fit well out of the box but these fit perfectly. The material was better than I expected and was actually softer than my other jeans. The rise, length, and the seat were perfectly contoured...I scrutinized the fit in the mirror and was pleased with the jeans. Definitely will order more jeans for the future and will try some dress pants as well. Thanks! |

My jacket came surprisingly quickly. Fit and finish was pretty impeccable. I'd been unable to find a tweed jacket that would fit off the shelf, even with alterations. This seemed like the only option left, and MakeYourOwnJeans did not disappoint. [5 of 5 Stars!] It's a bit of a risk taking your own measurements, and getting the right fit through the mail, but well worth it if OTS sizes don't work for you. Take extra time to measure, and allow for a little bit of wiggle room in the right places. |
