The leather is very soft and feels good to the touch. There is a distinct leather odor that takes several days to go away.

Having use Makeyourownjeans for several years for my son who is extra tall, I decided it was time to use the service myself

My jeans fit really well. They are truly awesome

Great material and fit. Workmanship is also good. I usually don't purchase stretch jeans so this was a test but I do have to say that I am mildly surprised how well they fit.

I am an extremely hard to fit big and tall customer and these jeans fit me perfectly. The material is soft and the fit is excellent. The shipping time was quite acceptable. I will definitely be buying another pair of these jeans.

Exactly what I ordered and beautifully made,didn't even take long to get arrive.I made and error and they double checked with me before they made them,it's what impressed me the most.

The only place to get a good fit for athletic build. Buying jackets in stores means either the waist is way too big or the arms and shoulders and chest are way too tight. Got the perfect broad-shouldered, slim waist fit I was looking for and for less than a store-bought sports coat! Same for the suit as well really.

Custom fit is the only way I can get my pants long enough for me. Love them! They crumple at the ankle like those short girls get all the time...

Excellent workmanship. The jeans are totally comfortable and fit perfectly.

I really like the stretchino pants. The material is very soft, the fit is perfect, and with a couple of washings the color really suits me. The slight fading using white vinegar and borax soap is my personal preference. However, without the washings and using only dry cleaning, the color is also great. As I said, the washed slighlty faded look is my personal perference.

The jeans fit very good except the waist, a bit tight, I used the nominal measurement of my other jeans, and not the actual measurement. My fault!
The stitching is excellent, fabric also. I wish I had changed years ago.

Build quality seems very good. Lining is silky smooth to the touch. Leather is also very soft. Requested add-on customizations were spot on. Jacket fits well overall.

These were my first pair and they came out really well - a much better fit than off-the-rack jeans, just a little short and feeling a little thin (compared to what I'd normally buy). But that was the plan anyway - to order one pair (preferably discounted) so that I could test and adjust the measurements. I've now ordered a second, more expensive pair with adjusted measurements and am eagerly awaiting their arrival. I'd recommend this service!

I am big and tall and this is better fit, more stylish, and higher quality than any jacket I have found at my local B&T stores. All of that while being Less expensive as well! It is a little heavier than what I was hoping for, but it will be a staple of my winter wardrobe for years to come.

This was my second pair of Make Your Own Jeans. My first pair was Wallace dark Indigo and they fit perfectly and are very high quality. I ordered this pair of Vintage wash after a good result with my first order. These jeans fit well out of the bag but shrunk a little more than the first pair. They still fit but are a little more snug than I would like. I will add 1/2" to the waist, hip, and thigh measurements for my next order. Overall I am very happy with the products. The fabric and tailoring seem to be very high quality. I need a 35" inseam pant which is next to impossible to find so I tried this company and I am very happy with it. The selection of fabrics is terrific and the ability to make your own measurements at several points is incredible. Follow their instructions closely and add to the measurements where you want a loose fit and you have a pair of custom jeans in whatever color and fabric weight you want. I won't buy jeans off the shelf again. It takes about three weeks for delivery.

Very good quality,recommended. I would suggest adding your inside leg measurement to the comments box on the order form to ensure you get the correct length; I did this and it worked fine on my second pair. Don't understand why this key measurement isn't shown on the standard order form?

Love these guys, once they have your measurements it's a single click to buy another pair in a completely different colour and material. I've got 4 pairs now, all great fit and great make, ranging from denim to linen. The big side pockets are good for large phones, wallets etc.

The custom jeans are excellent. This was my first pair. I have ordered 2 more pairs in a different Color and changed a few measurements, like the width of the leg from the knee and the bottom of the leg. Just to widen them a bit to fit with boots. The cut and shape is very nice and comfortable. I'm 6'7" and a husky guy so, to get jeans that fit right is a real treat!

First a general comment on size and quality:
This is the third time I order. First and second pair were good, but I kept tweeking the measurements even further and this last pair was perfect! (Measure according to instructions. Snug means snug. Do not add margin.)

Regarding Kato Black:
I really like this type of denim! Classic and classy. Soft, but yet heavy.

All in all I can really recommend MYOJ in general and Kato black in particular!!

I love this jacket. The red is brighter than expected but hey it was an option to choose a darker red. I wish I got red lining, that would of rocked. The leather is really soft and feels great.
The only thing I dont like is the collar, nothing to do with quality, just the style. I prefer it being able to button that collar.

Excellent product. The denim looks rugged but without the stiff feel to it. The 2% stretch makes them extremely comfortable. This was the second pair I've order and my third pair are in production. Now that I have the measurements "dialed in", I can't ever see myself buying another pair off the rack. Love the customization options too.

This is a nice dark denim. It feels very rugged without feeling stiff or uncomfortable. This is the second pair of jeans I have ordered from Make Your Own Jeans and I have to say I am very happy. I am making minor adjustments to the measurements with each order to really get them dialed in. I am currently waiting on my 3rd pair to be shipped. I would highly recommend these jeans. I ordered these for my grandson because none of the store bought jeans ever fit him right, he loved them, he said that is the first pair of jeans that fit right and he was so happy! He told me they looked like skinny jeans and he has never had a pair of them before, but that's because the store bought jeans to fit his waist are huge all the way down and look like bell bottoms. Three pairs of stretch jeans fit just right - but what about when you want to be a bit more formal and still comfortable? My solution was Stretch Chinos - Stretchinos. They look like normal pants but give like stretch jeans. My mistake: while looking for just the right colour I wandered inadvertently to non-stretch fabric and ended up ordering that. However, that was corrected for the second pair and these were worn same day to the shops to try them out - great! We will investigate ordering a similar pair of stretch pants using a jeans cut but without the jeans finish or fabric another time. One totally successful feature was the secret pocket they made at my request - a wallet pocket on the inside front, with a welted seam and flap covering a zip - unobtrusive security and easy access. We had just one secret pocket front right - one tip - have the zip/flap a couple of inches down from the waistband so the belt does not cover the opening to the pocket. Total satisfaction and easy access without awkwardness, embarrassment or invitation to pickpockets. I've suggested they offer this as a standard pocket option - I shall certainly request it every time now. We requested the pocket be 7" x 15", folded over and hanging inside the front panel - perfect size for the wallet in question. Maybe next time another pocket for the mobile phone! I might cut out the back pockets, too. The side pockets are good and deep, and back pockets tend to be permanently empty, especially with a good safe wallet pocket. Now DH can go to the shops in a shirt without having to wear a jacket just to carry the wallet safely! Very happy again with this order, and it is such a boon to be pleased with pants after years of disappointment with off the shelf jeans. Thanks Paul, Terry and all!

Was very, very, pleased that they came in needing no changes except my waist measurement. They made the pants to what I asked for but for some reason they were a little tight. I changed that measurement to account for the needed change in future orders. Already have had several nice comments about how well they fit. Will be using again in the future and I have already recommended them to friends. Price for CUSTOM made slacks is outstanding!

I live these Jeans, love the weight live the wash, just right amount of stretch. Again,my error was using the slim cut. Won't do that again, will go with total custom measurements.

I am forever trying to find a corduroy suit that looks polished and fits properly. I have long arms so off-the-rack jackets never fit the way they should. There were many bad on-line reviews of MakeYourOwnJeans but there were good ones too. I took a chance, took extra care with my tape measure, and ordered a suit.
In just two weeks my suit arrived and I couldn't be happier. It fits perfectly. The fabric feels strong and supple. All the details that I was worried about like the overall design or the quality of the workmanship are all better than I could have hoped for at such a reasonable price.

I would add an inch or two on to what you measure or go for guaranteed fit for your first order.

My 12 year old son is over weight so the typical jeans in the store are either to long or the in seam is to long making the jeans come up to his nipples. Makeyourownjeans has been a life saver. My measurements were followed precisely and they fit me perfectly, but and my measurement could use a bit of tweaking to make the next pair even better.
These pair would be almost perfect if they would've followed my instructions as to the placement of the back pockets; they did followed the rest of my instructions.

I ordered a tweed jacket from MYOJ for my husband. His measurements are extremely non-standard. There is nothing that I can buy for him over the counter. When I sent his measurements to MYOJ, they questioned them, no doubt thinking that I had made a mistake. I hadn't and they made the jacket the way I asked for it. It fits him perfectly. Jeans were delivered in 4 weeks from order. The fit was great although I will be making some slight adjustments with my next pair. Color was much lighter than pictured but still ok with me. Jean material was about as thick as a regular store pair, I don't like the thinner material so these were the thicker jean material, not overly thick but not too thin either. Overall very happy with the material, color was a lot lighter than expected but still ok, fit is as good as you measure IMO. I like how this site offers a lot more measurements than competitors. This is a true custom fit jean.
