I just received my very first order today - a pair of custom-made, navy blue Terry Rayon men's dress pants. First of all, I can say outright that I WILL be placing future orders at MakeYourOwnJeans.com.
I've always struggled with the purchase of dress pants at the retail level, never being able to find something that's 100% to my liking, in terms of fit, style, and appearance. And it doesn't matter if I'm at a local, discount retailer or a high-end place like you'd find on 5th Avenue: I'm never thrilled with quality and appearance - and believe it or not, I'm really not a picky individual.
The pair I received today are awesome - the overall fit is comfortable, and the appearance & style IS at that 100% level I mentioned earlier.
Aside from all of that, what really surprised me was how soon it was that I received notification that my order was ready to be shipped: I placed my order on-line on 12/7, and it was shipped 12/13 (the only hiccup was caused by the shipper being delayed by a day or two from when delivery was actually supposed to occur - but that has nothing to do with makeyourownjeans.com). Truthfully, I wasn't expecting to receive anything before Christmas. Given that my birthday happens to be this coming Sunday, what a great surprise this wound up being!
Previously, I ordered several folders of fabric swatches from makeyourownjeans.com, so I've already begun the process of creating my next several custom orders.

I do a lot of fitness training and body building so it's always a challenge to find jeans that fit my legs and have a waist band that fits snug. Most jeans that fit my legs have a giant waist that requires a belt, not the ideal fit for jeans.

I really like the jeans I received. The fit is good as I hoped since it's custom. I really don't like the weight of the fabric for the jeans I ordered. It was just too light for me, but for someone who likes wearing jeans in the summer they would be perfect. I plan to order more jeans from Make Your Own Jeans but I will be using a heavier fabric selection. I think that will be my sweet spot.

I was sceptical but after many years thinking about it I finally ordered a pair a jeans. I took my sizes, not from my favourite jean as nothing ever fits properly to my shape. I measured myself. Added a higher back so when bending down everything was still covered. Higher waist to stop bulging bits, the perfect length. When they arrived they are the best jeans I have ever had. Perfect fit. No need to alter and and they come with a unique number for your fit. These jeans are one of a kind as I created them myself. I would love another 10 pairs if I had the cash. Maybe a pair a year. Please do yourself a favour and try making your own jeans. I was not disappointed. :)

I am not a standard size; I have a large waist for my hip size and store bought jeans do not fit me. The jeans are even better than I had hoped. I have never been able to find jeans that fit well and are comfortable to wear all day. The stretch fabric looks just like regular denim, but it's SOOOO comfortable. The fit is perfect - I don't look like I have been poured into these jeans and they are never "saggy-baggy".

I placed my order for 2 more sets of fabric samples in the wee hours of Wednesday, 10/29....and when I went to check my mailbox around 3pm on Friday 10/31, the package from MakeYourOwnJeans.com was already sitting there on my front porch (my U.S. mail, on the other hand, had another hour or so before IT got delivered). If you make your measurements accurately you will get a product that fits perfectly. I am very impressed and will continue to purchase more products from them. I was nervous about this order; I had upgraded leather and quilt spec and feared it would either not fit or look cheap and unwearable...
On each point I need not have been concerned at all.
Once shipped the garment took less than 48 hours to arrive (India to UK)
I am glad I opted for the better quality leather; it looks feels and smells of quality and is very soft.
The fit is snug or 'tailored' but good.
The cut is very good...no loose bits or irregular angles.
I'm also pleased I went for the quilted option; just pads it out enough...
